Dark Circles Around the Eyes
The skin around the eyes is very fine and delicate. It tends to dry out very quickly. From the age of 25 years onwards, occasionally apply a little eye cream or special eye oil to counteract dryness around the eyes. Dark circles under the eyes happen because of salt content in tears. Other reasons include continuous flow of water from eyes, low diet and damaged capillaries. The following precaution/treatment should be taken :
1. Do not rub eyes, if there is irritation or burning, otherwise the delicate skin will shrink and wrinkles will appear on it. To avoid such wrinkles, use anti-wrinkle cream or almond oil.
2. Boil and filter tea leaves. Soak a cotton swab in it and foment the area around the eyes till you get satisfactory results.
3. Avoid tension, worry and anxiety.
4. Massage oil or cream slowly with your fingers on areas around the eyes. Remove surplus cream or oil after 30 minutes, otherwise your eyes will become puffy.
5. Have plenty of sleep. Lack of sleep results in dark rings below the eyes and sometimes the skin become flabby. An eight-hours-rest in a day keeps the eyes healthy.
6. Blink your eyelids, which gives them the most natural massage. Shut your eyes as tight as you can, then open them as wide as you can. Repeat it 5-6 times. Make sure to keep your forehead and face muscles still. This is an excellent exercise for the muscles.
