Diet for a Healthy Skin
For a blemish-free, sparkling skin the following five points should be kept in mind :
• Eat wisely,
• Take plenty of rest,
• Breathe properly,
• Keep your body supple and
• Observe cleanliness.
The skin must be constantly renewed to remain healthy. This means that cell movement must be encouraged by good circulation. Vitamin C purifies and vitalizes the bloodstream. It is found in citrus fruits like orange, lemon and grapefruit. Green vegetables and potatoes also contain vitamin C. For a healthy skin, Vitamin B is essential, which can be procured from fresh vegetables, milk and wholewheat. Alcohol, coffee and tea interfere with the body’s ability to assimilate Vitamin B. Diet is a widely discussed subject — what to eat and what not to eat. It is advised that you must eat a little of everything.
